The show was hosted by Nikki (Nicola Savino) with DJ Aladyn providing the music element. Deejay Tropical Pizza was known for its alternative rock and indie music focus, while also incorporating live music performances by upcoming artists. The program also included discussions with renowned and up-and-coming musicians. In its later years, the program's airing schedule changed, broadcasting from 3:30 to 5:00 PM (local time) at different times. Deejay Tropical Pizza attracted a dedicated fan base called "tropicalisti" with its blend of alternative music, interviews, and playful humor.
